You Made History

Across the state of North Carolina, throughout the country and around the world, thousands of dedicated Carolina supporters like you have come together to make history. Because of your generosity, the Campaign for Carolina has raised more than $5 billion for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

By helping Carolina surpass the $5 billion mark, you have helped Carolina become one of just six public universities in the country to hit this milestone in a single campaign. More importantly, you have ensured that our University will continue to educate the brightest young minds to become the leaders our world needs.

“I am immensely grateful for the community of donors and volunteers who have supported us on this journey. Your generosity means Carolina will continue to prepare generations of students and scholars to solve the grand challenges of our time.”
– Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz

Support for the Campaign for Carolina has come from people who are connected to Carolina in many ways. They include Carolina alumni, parents and friends; faculty, students and staff; patients at UNC Hospitals; and foundations and corporations. In total, more than 215,000 people have generously given to the campaign.

Gifts have also come in many forms and sizes. Some are already at work supporting Carolina’s top priorities, while other pledges will pay out in the future to provide a steady stream of resources. All gifts, no matter the amount, represent a vote of confidence in Carolina’s mission of teaching, service and research.
