That question can be answered by MJ-school alumna Meredith Clark ’14 (Ph.D.). While at Carolina, Clark, an assistant professor at the University of Virginia, focused her research on #BlackTwitter and Black Digital Culture — understanding how conversations taking place on the social network could drive media conversations. Her dissertation was pioneering research on the subject.
