Healing Patience’s Smile

Wohl met 19-year-old Patience while touring a school in Liberia, and upon seeing the scars on her face and shoulders—scarring which left her unable to fully open her mouth—he immediately thought of doctors at the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center.
Since coming to Chapel Hill, Patience has made incredible progress. When she returns home to Liberia and her family, she will be able to smile again thanks to a community of doctors at UNC.
