Ashton Martin ’20 is the seventh Morehead-Cain Scholar to serve as student body president since 2007 — 28 scholars have served in the role during the program’s 75-year history.

The Roxboro, North Carolina, native received 51.8% of the vote. She considers her victory a great honor and an incredible opportunity.

“It’s my job to leverage the incredible privilege I’ve been given to make sure students’ interests are best represented and heard through the UNC administration.”
