The media industry is a rapidly changing one. Channels and technology evolve, but the need for clear and ethical communication remains.

Thanks to the generosity of Don and Barbara Curtis, the Curtis Media Center will provide UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media students with a collaborative, state-of-the-art space, helping them to develop the critical thinking, creativity and collaborative skills needed to lead the industry in a new era.

The $21.275 million gift from the Curtis Foundation will provide $8 million for the construction of the center, and additional funds will also include support for the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, as well as for UNC Health and UNC Athletics.
