Before he was the youngest NYU business school dean, he walked the brick pathways as a student at Carolina.

“… I just started wondering, ‘Why is it that in the United States people are on average so much better off than they were in Jamaica?’”

Peter Henry and his family moved from Jamaica to Illinois when he was just 8 years old. It was then he took note of the disparity between the U.S. and his home country, and that got him thinking about economic issues.

He went on to become an expert on global economy and is driven to help developing nations, like his native Jamaica. He also went on to become the youngest person to ever hold the post of dean at the New York University business school. 

But before he was a leader in economics, Peter Henry walked the brick pathways of Carolina as a Morehead-Cain Scholar and as a member of the Tar Heel football program.
