The Story of God

A UNC professor helps us to understand the story of God.

A UNC professor helps us to understand the story of God.

For centuries, religion has been central in the lives of individuals. Today, Christianity, Islam and Judaism touch all of society regardless of personal faith.

In 2015, actor Morgan Freeman endeavored to understand how seemingly disparate faiths connect us all. Jodi Magness, the Kenan Distinguished Professor for Teaching Excellence in Early Judaism and an archaeologist concentrating on ancient Palestine, went along with him for part of that journey.

The result was the six-part National Geographic series The Story of GodOpens in new window.
