Department of Communication chair Pat Parker is a champion for equity and inclusion.

Department of Communication chair Pat Parker’s research and teaching explores questions about difference and equity. Her next book documents a multi-year research project with African-American girls learning social justice leadership in their communities. She also developed the UNC College of Arts & Sciences’ diversity liaison program, a network of faculty leaders working toward equity and inclusion in their departments.
