So much incredible research is constantly being published by members of the Carolina community, but are these publications readily available to the public?
Thanks to University librarians, the answer is, “Yes.”
Through consistent development of theCarolina Digital RepositoryOpens in new window, Carolina librarians are working to make faculty research easily accessible online. Launched in 2009, the repository is now home to nearly 3,000 articles and more than 15,000 dissertations, theses and other scholarly work. Since anyone in the world can access these works for free, the repository allows researchers to collaborate and connect from their homes.
“I’m glad the University invested in this resource when they did,” saidAnne GillilandOpens in new window, the library’s scholarly communications officer.
While this repository has been a valuable resource since its creation, it has proven to be especially useful throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
