After obtaining her master’s degree, doctoral student Mary Wolfe sought an environment where she could continue applied research and work with both scholars and practitioners. After visiting Carolina, she knew the Department of City and Regional Planning was the place for her. She said the people were so welcoming and brilliant. Wolfe’s research explores the connection of the built environment and travel behavior with an emphasis on the health implications of transportation.
