Funding Priority

Provide Opportunities for Intellectual Exchanges

The Stone Center has experienced tremendous growth and success, but to sustain excellence, we must constantly renew our commitment to critical interdisciplinary inquiry and innovative work in the arts. Our wellspring is the Stone Center Gift Fund, which provides the director with the flexible resources necessary to be nimble and strategic in response to opportunities that arise.

Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History

The Gift Fund helps the Stone Center respond to pressing programmatic needs and pursue new opportunities. Through this important and increasingly popular form of giving, you can enable the Center to remain an epicenter of arts and culture on campus. From exhibitions to lectures to outreach, we lay the foundation for cultural exchanges and critical examinations and study. We are a hub for intellectual activity and we support the creative energy of the campus as it explores African American and African Diaspora lives, cultures, and histories.
